On August 8, 2008, the worldwide attractive 29th Olympic Games was held in Beijing.
And the China National Convention Center (CNCC) also became the focus of attention of the whole world.
CNCC is located at the heart of Beijing Olympics Park, right next to the Bird Nest (China National Stadium) and Water Cube
(National Aquatics Center). It is the main press center and international broadcast center, as well as provides the venue for
the fencing competition of Olympic Game and the modern pentathlon involving air pistol shooting and épée fencing.
After the Paralympic Games, CNCC underwent the construction of internal transformation, and then had its brand opening in November 2009.
CNCC is owned by Beijing North Star Group. In total, the building, occupying an area of 12 hectares, a total construction area
of 530,000 square meters, and a total investment of 5 billion Yuan, has 400 meters in the north-south length, 150 meters in
the east-west width, and 40 meters in eaves height. The conference and exhibition area is 270,000 square meters,
and other auxiliary buildings (two hotels and two office buildings) cover an area of 260,000 square meters.
It is Asia's largest convention center.
There are altogether over one hundred conference rooms of various sizes at China National Conference Center, which can
hold over 20,000 people for meetings. The Grand Hall can accommodate 6,000 people for conference, the kitchen equipments
can supply more than 10,000 people for dining, and large-scale banquets of 3,500 people can be held at the Grand Ballroom.
The exhibition area is 40,000 square meters.
The CNCC Grand Hotel has 420 guest rooms, and is connected with the CNCC by means of corridor. It only takes 3 minutes
from the Grand Hotel to the CNCC.
